These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of cine.vote, including the cine.vote website, mobile applications, in-person research activities, surveys, and the cine.vote research panel (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing cine.vote, joining the Panel, or participating in any survey, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service or participate in surveys.

2. Eligibility and Age Rules

2.1 Minimum age

• Individuals under 13 may only participate in surveys with parental or guardian permission and will not be invited to join the Panel or provide personal information for Panel membership.

• Individuals 13 years and older may join the Panel and participate in surveys subject to these Terms.

2.2 Acknowledgement for minors

If you are aged 13–15, by joining the Panel you confirm that a parent or guardian is aware that you are participating in research.

2.3 Age verification

We may request your date of birth or other information to confirm eligibility. If we determine that personal information has been collected from someone under 13 without appropriate permission, we will take steps to delete that information and restrict or terminate the account.

3. Panel Membership Is Not Guaranteed

• Participation is voluntary.

• Datatainment is under no obligation to invite you to any surveys.

• Survey invitations, frequency, eligibility, and targeting are determined solely at Datatainment’s discretion.

Panel membership does not create any employment, agency, or contractual right to compensation beyond Credits earned under these Terms.

4. Parent–Child and Family Surveys

Some surveys are designed for parents or guardians and may:

• ask questions about their children; or

• ask the parent or guardian to supervise their child while the child completes part of the survey.

By participating in such surveys, you confirm that:

• you are the child’s parent or legal guardian, or are acting with their permission;

• you are supervising the child’s participation; and

• the child’s participation is limited to that specific survey and does not create a cine.vote account or Panel membership for the child.

All child participation is for research purposes only and is conducted in accordance with applicable child privacy laws.

5. Credits, Rewards, and Redemption

5.1 Nature of Credits

Credits:

• have no cash value;

• are not transferable;

• cannot be exchanged for cash or cash equivalents; and

• do not constitute property or wages.

5.2 Redemption thresholds

Rewards require a specific number of Credits.

• If you have insufficient Credits, you may not redeem the reward.

• Partial rewards, partial redemptions, or alternative compensation are not available.

5.3 One account only

You may maintain only one account. Multiple accounts, shared accounts, or attempts to transfer Credits are prohibited.

5.4 Fraud and adjustments

We may withhold, reverse, adjust, or cancel Credits or rewards if we reasonably believe there has been error, misuse, fraud, policy violation, or suspicious activity.

6. Response Integrity and Prohibited Behavior

All survey responses must be truthful, original, and written in your own words.

You agree that you will not:

• copy or paste responses from websites, articles, reviews, forums, or social media;

• submit content generated by artificial intelligence tools or language models;

• use bots, scripts, automation, or any technological assistance to complete surveys;

• allow another person to complete surveys on your behalf; or

• attempt to manipulate screening criteria or survey outcomes.

We use automated and manual quality-control methods to detect copied content, AI-generated responses, automation, and abnormal response patterns.

Violation of this section may result in immediate suspension or blacklisting.

7. Confidentiality and Client Rules

7.1 Confidential content

Many surveys involve unreleased or confidential materials. You agree to keep all such content strictly confidential.

7.2 Prohibited actions

Unless explicitly permitted, you must not:

• record, screenshot, photograph, copy, or reproduce survey content;

• share survey content or questions with any third party;

• post or discuss survey content online or offline.

7.3 Client-specific rules

Certain surveys may include additional rules or confidentiality requirements. By participating, you agree to comply with all such instructions.

7.4 Disclosure to clients

If we reasonably suspect that confidential content has been leaked or misused, you agree that Datatainment may share relevant information — including contact details and participation history — with the affected client for investigation and protection of their confidential information.

8. Suspension, Termination, and Blacklisting

We may suspend, restrict, blacklist, or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, and without providing a reason, to the extent permitted by law.

If suspended or blacklisted:

• you will no longer receive surveys or earn Credits;

• you may redeem rewards using Credits already earned at the time of suspension, subject to verification and fraud checks.

9. Communications

You consent to receive communications related to surveys, rewards, account administration, and service updates. Opting out of essential communications may limit participation.

10. Intellectual Property

All materials provided through the Service are protected by intellectual property laws.

You receive only a limited right to participate in surveys as permitted by these Terms.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Datatainment shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Total liability shall not exceed the greater of:

• the value of Credits earned from the relevant survey(s); or

• USD $50.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections available to UK users under UK law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
